The Chicago Bean by b-rooks The Chicago Bean by b-rooks
I've been in Chicago for about a week now and I finally got a chance to snap a few pics yesterday. This is one of a really crazy stature (or whatever you wanna call it) right in the heart of DT. The locals call it the bean. Oh and it's a handheld 3 shot HDR if wondering.

I'm so glad you like it. Yeah the bean is quite something. Thanks for looking at my stuff. I'm going to start blogging at BrooksPotteiger.com/photoblog if you're interested at following me there. Take care :)

This is very cool. Especially since it was 3 shots hand-held. I'm impressed. I usually make my HDRs from a single file, though I understand the detail isn't as good. Cool man! :)

often times i'll mask the sky in photoshop and use the curve tool to bring it down a bit. also, hdr's tend to have a more dramatic sky (as the underexposed shots bring out the grit in the clouds).

i have tryed to figure it out xD closeist i got was brighting up the sky to pure white in on and over exposed shots and useing than useing photmatix so the only sky it can use is the underexposed
